Inspired by a love of history and its amazing accounts of human endeavor, model making and dramatic representations of the people, places and things that have shaped our culture.As we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the end of the First World War, we remember Sitting Bull's grandson Standing Buffalo who fell on the battlefield in France.
HERO OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR
On November 11, 1918, the First World War ended.


Standing Buffalo Saskatchewan Joseph Arthur (of Fort Qu'Appelle), son of Julius Standing Buffalo and grandson of Chief Sitting Bull, integrated the 78th Batalion of Infantry (Canada) and fell on the battlefield near Arras (France) on August 29, 1918.
He is buried in the British cemetery of Ficheux.
